The CMS' annual Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Quality Payment Program rule, which normally publishes in July, will include proposals that would permanently expand reimbursement for telehealth services, according to CMS analyst Emily Yoder. She urged health care providers to comment on the rule and "to help us decide on the flexibilities that we implemented that we want to see made permanent," but she noted that some Medicare telehealth reimbursement changes will require action from Congress to be made permanent.
