Delayed-release linaclotide reduced abdominal pain in patients with constipation-related irritable bowel syndrome, compared with a placebo, according to a study led by William D. Chey, MD, of the University of Michigan, and published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology. Researchers said the most common side effect was diarrhea. Read the abstract.
