Study examines novel drug's effect on GERD symptoms

Treating patients with a novel gastric-retentive bile acid sequestrant improved their gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms, according to a study by Michael Vaezi , MD, PhD, of Vanderbilt University Medical Center that was presented at Digestive Disease Week. Ten common GERD symptoms were examined in the study, and improvement was observed with every symptom except burping.
