Millennials focus on cost, technology in health care decisions

Sixty percent of millennials surveyed by the Health Industry Distributors Association said cost was an important factor when considering a health care provider, and they are more likely to use technology such as wellness apps and patient portals to manage their health, writes health care consultant Alex Mangrolia. Convenience, patient experience, credibility and cost effectiveness should be considered when marketing to millennials, Mangrolia writes.
