The Geboes Score, the modified Riley Score, the Robarts histopathological index and the Nancy histological index were found to be equally reliable indices for assessing ulcerative colitis remission, according to a study led by Vipul Jairath of the University of Western Ontario. Remission is becoming an important goal when treating UC, but scores have not been fully indexed, Jairath wrote in the journal Gut.
