Medicare is in better financial shape than it was 10 years ago, even though the Trustees' Report for 2018 predicts it will run out of money in 2026. The Part A (Hospital Insurance) program is expected to run out of money sooner, not Parts B and D (the Supplementary Medical Insurance), according to a brief from the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.
