A disorder that appears to be eosinophilic esophagitis has been discovered by researchers, but patients did not have a level of eosinophilia that met EoE guidelines. Most of the patients with the disorder were eventually diagnosed with EoE, according to Thomas Greuter, MD, University Hospital Zurich's division of gastroenterology and hepatology.
