This November, voters in Massachusetts will decide whether independent auto repair businesses should be able to access telematics -- the real-time data collected by many newer cars that is available to manufacturers. Right-to-repair advocates say vehicle owners could otherwise be forced to go to dealerships for repairs, while opponents say the change could put poeple's data and safety at risk.
