A low-carbon drainage pipe with maintenance sensors is being developed by the UK's University of Birmingham and piping company Aquaspira. Made of steel and recycled plastic, the pipe now being tested will be fitted with sensors to identify climate impacts to the pipe as they develop so they can be addressed quickly.
