The Georgia Ports Authority is planning to effectively double capacity for unloading enormous ships at the Port of Savannah, allowing it to simultaneously handle six vessels with 14,000 20-foot equivalent units by 2024. "No other single container terminal in North America has the ability to expand berth capacity at this rate," Executive Director Griff Lynch says.
