Colo. looks to expand water storage capacity

Parts of the western US have "little to no new water," an environmental engineer says, and that has prompted officials on Colorado's Front Range to move forward with water storage projects. A 360-foot-tall, 3,500-foot-long dam is proposed that would hold water for 12 municipalities and additional water suppliers, and Denver Water is working on the Gross Reservoir expansion.
