The steep drop in air traffic because of the coronavirus pandemic might lead to major savings and a two-year early finish for a replacement and expansion project at Salt Lake City International Airport. The slow period allows quick demolition of terminals and concourses in the $4.1 billion project, saving as much as $300 million, Executive Director Bill Wyatt says.
