The Army Corps of Engineers is working with the Chicago Department of Public Health and Walsh Construction to convert convention center McCormick Place into a hospital to treat coronavirus patients. The project is on track for delivery April 24, and 90% of materials are on-site, being prefabricated or installed, says Tom Caplis, vice president of health care at Walsh Construction.
