A new star-shaped pill in the early stages of being developed could reduce the number of times people with HIV need to take their medications to once a week, with the pill containing "multiple drug-polymer combinations and slowly [releasing] drugs over the course of seven days," said researcher Giovanni Traverso. The study was published in the journal Nature Communications.
