Starbucks has agreed to purchase 146 megawatts worth of wind and solar from three LevelTen projects in three separate power markets, giving it access to enough electricity to meet the needs of 3,000 stores. "Starbucks' analysis showed a significant reduction in value at risk from the portfolio approach vs. sourcing from any one of the projects in the portfolio," executive Patrick Leonard said of the aggregated-purchase model.
