WMO: Climate change driving need for humanitarian aid

Approximately 108 million people around the world required humanitarian assistance because of natural disasters in 2018, and the need for aid could increase by 50% over the next decade, a report from the World Meteorological Organization says. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is urging leaders to ensure pandemic recovery plans are aligned with efforts to combat climate change.
