The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season could rank above average and see 14 named storms, with seven becoming hurricanes and three reaching Category 3 or higher, said researcher Phil Klotzbach of Colorado State University. Last year brought 17 named storms, including 10 hurricanes of which six were at least Category 3.
