The Michigan Department of Natural Resources confirmed West Nile virus in five ruffed grouse collected from Delta, Iron, Missaukee and Roscommon counties. The virus has been confirmed in more than 200 Michigan animals this year, and 39 human cases have been reported, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
