Generous donations enabled the American Veterinary Medical Foundation to fund 118 veterinary student scholarships, provide financial relief to more than 500 veterinary technicians and assistants, train veterinary professionals as well-being educators, and fund care for 724 animals in need. The foundation will soon launch a fundraising campaign for the AVMA's new first responder certificate program for veterinarians and veterinary technicians working in disaster relief programs, according to AVMF Board Chair Dr. John Howe.
