The AVMA is supporting a bipartisan bill introduced in the House that would require a certificate of veterinary inspection confirming dogs entering the US have been vaccinated and have been tested for illness. "For far too long, dogs have been entering the US without proper inspection, increasing the risk of disease introduction and transmission," said AVMA President Dr. John Howe.
