The USDA is managing an annual wildlife rabies campaign in Vermont, dropping 450,000 packs of vaccine baits in nearly 100 communities this week. "The rabies bait packs are not harmful to people, pets or wildlife but it's important to leave the packs undisturbed so that they can be eaten by wild animals," said state Public Health Veterinarian Natalie Kwit.
