An upcoming Labor Department rule is set to bring new flexibility to multiple employer retirement plans, which experts say would allow employers to share or lift the administrative burdens of offering employee retirement benefits. "Many small businesses would like to offer retirement benefits to their employees, but are discouraged by the cost and complexity of running their own plans," acting Labor Secretary Patrick Pizzella said.
