A greater one-horned Indian rhinoceros was born at Zoo Miami after 15 months' gestation in what may be the first birth of the species through induced ovulation and artificial insemination, zoo spokesman Ron Magill says. Only about 3,000 of the rhinos remain in the wild due to poaching for their horns, Magill says.
