The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is allowing area residents to borrow dogs from its shelters for up to two hours a day and take the dogs for a walk, hike or visit to a park or restaurant. "Taking animals out of the shelter environment for a break has been proven to improve their behavior, as well as give them exposure to potential adopters," Executive Director Steve Bardy said.
