Keepers at London Zoo have been coaxing snakes, birds, lions, porcupines and other animals onto scales for their annual checkups, and the data will be shared with other zoos around the world. The weigh-in helps ensure animals are healthy, eating well and growing as they should, says Teague Stubbington, the zoo's assistant curator of mammals.
