Butterflies "see" with their genitals

Biology and ecology professor Adriana Briscoe, who studies color vision in butterflies, says the insects have photoreceptors in their genitalia and can tell different light colors apart. Briscoe says learning how butterflies respond to light and color can help people design buildings that don't threaten butterflies' survival.
