The FDA says veterinarians, animal owners, health care professionals and patients should not administer or use sterile products that were made and distributed by Ranier's Compounding Laboratory, Ranier's Pharmacy or Ranier's Rx Laboratory in Jeannette, Pa., and should quarantine unused products. An FDA inspection of the company's facility found sanitation problems, and the agency asked Ranier's to issue a recall for all unexpired sterile products, but the company had not complied with the request as of Tuesday.
