A cassowary appears to have killed his 75-year-old owner, who bred the large, flightless birds at a farm near Alachua, Fla., according to the sheriff's office. The San Diego Zoo says cassowaries have dagger-like claws that grow to 4 inches long and "can slice open any predator or potential threat with a single swift kick."
