An analysis of 51 different raw meat pet foods from eight different suppliers in Switzerland or Germany found that 72.5% had levels of enterobacteria that exceeded EU standards, and 63% of the samples contained antibiotic-resistant pathogens. There is also no evidence that raw diets confer health benefits, and veterinary nutritionist Lisa Freeman advises against them.
