ASF outbreak unlikely in US, producers' group says

There is no sign African swine fever has reached the US, and an outbreak is not likely because most hogs in the US are raised indoors and fed standardized diets, says Illinois Pork Producers Association Executive Director Jennifer Tirey. Nonetheless, hog producers should be cautious and should not transport unchecked products across borders, Tirey says.
