Veterinarian William Pritchard, who served as dean of the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine from 1962 to 1982, died Oct. 18 at 95 years old. Dr. Pritchard also held a law degree, specialized in tropical veterinary medicine and international agriculture development, served on numerous scientific panels, served two terms as president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, and was instrumental in winning federal support for veterinary schools and teaching hospitals.
