This is a newsletter for veterinary medicine professionals. We can't ignore the important clinical issues this time of year presents. Fortunately, veterinarians themselves are sharing a wealth of great information with the public. For example, veterinarians Eric Evans and Hillary Sullivan remind us that chocolate, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts and xylitol are dangerous to pets. Veterinarian Marie Hopfensperger says some pets might benefit from being placed in a quiet area for the evening. And veterinarian Mike Hutchinson says a pumpkin bleaching fad circulating online could pose a threat to pets and wildlife.
(Also be sure to watch the video to hear Dr. Hutchinson's favorite pet costume -- it's a good one).
