AVMA President Dr. Douglas Kratt says people should take simple steps to avoid unknowingly transmitting the novel coronavirus to pets. "I would not sit there and nuzzle with your dog or get a lot of face-to-face contact," Dr. Kratt said, adding that people should wash their hands after handling or patting pets.
