Only one case of canine influenza has been documented so far this season in Arkansas, but veterinarian Leeth Harper says the low incidence is no cause for complacency. Dr. Harper recommends vaccinating dogs that go to dog parks, day care or boarding facilities, and some facilities require influenza immunization, which takes 30 days to take full effect.
