The Association of Zoos and Aquariums launched an initiative targeting the wildlife trade to reduce zoonotic disease risks to humans and animals. Participants in the Reduce the Risk: A Crisis in Human and Animal Health initiative will advocate for enforcement of existing national and international policies on wildlife trade and the passage of stronger trade policies, as well as educate and engage the public.
