Some veterinarians in the Wilmington, N.C., area have temporarily stopped offering day boarding services to prevent the spread of a respiratory disease caused by airborne Mycoplasma, and they say dog owners should try to minimize close dog-to-dog contact. Clinical signs include a dry cough followed by discharge from the nose and eyes, lethargy or fever.
