Smart devices that give beekeepers detailed information about the health of their hives could improve bee health and avert losses. Technology includes an internet-connected sensor from ApisProtect that measures hive temperature, humidity, sound and movement; and a robot bee from Pollenity that "dances" to guide the hive's swarm to sources of nectar and pollen and away from fields treated with harmful pesticides.
