Veterinarian Katie Holmes recently traveled to India to mentor veterinary students and treat animals in dire need of care, and she says although she saw extreme suffering in animals, the experience left her grateful for the privileges of her own life and the ability to give back. Her trip was arranged through a Tufts University international service program that is open to any qualifying veterinarian.
