A $1 million gift to Tulane University from an anonymous donor will be applied to ongoing coronavirus research and to new lines of research on novel COVID-19 treatments, antivirals, vaccines and the impact of health disparities. Scientists at Tulane National Research Primate Center have studied how the novel coronavirus spreads; others have studied whether the measles vaccine mitigates the effects of COVID-19 and how to analyze wastewater samples to determine community prevalence.
