Myocardial ischemia may have different trigger in women

A study in Psychosomatic Medicine: Journal of Biobehavioral Medicine found 20% of women had myocardial ischemia, which is linked to mental and emotional stress, compared with 15% of men. Researchers said while coronary artery plaque buildup may trigger MSIMI in men, for women it may be microcirculatory dysfunction.
