Recycling advocates in Connecticut are offering alternative solutions to Gov. Ned Lamont's proposed bottle bill, including a suggestion from the Connecticut Package Stores Association to implement a 10-cent recycling fee instead of the proposed 25-cent deposit. The organization also wants to see a 10-cent fee on the smaller "nip" bottles, which hold about 1.7 ounces of alcohol.
