Tariff increase sets the stage for higher consumer prices

US consumers likely won't immediately feel the pinch of President Donald Trump's increased tariffs on $200 billion of goods from China, but economists and industry experts say retailers will have to raise prices to offset the higher fees in the next few months. Some industry groups oppose the tariff increase, saying they'll be particularly hard on small businesses and consumers.
