Amid complaints that France levies high tariffs on American wine imports while French wine enters the US with minimal taxation, President Donald Trump says the US will "do something" to rectify the arrangement. The EU charges a tariff of 11 cents per standard-sized bottle on US still wine imports and 29 cents on sparkling wines, while the US charges 5 cents per bottle on still wine and 14 cents for sparkling wine, the Wine Institute reports.
