Vacant building in Conn. to see new life as hotel

A developer has purchased the iconic, floating concrete cube building in New Haven, Conn., from Ikea for $1.2 million with the idea of turning it into an energy-efficient boutique hotel and conference center. The Brutalist building, designed by Marcel Breuer, has been unoccupied for almost 20 years.
