Amazon has offered five guidelines for facial recognition regulations at the federal level, including requiring human review to prevent civil rights violations and transparency from law enforcement on how they use facial recognition technology. Other suggestions from Amazon include always using facial recognition in accordance with the law, only using the technology to make decisions after achieving a 99% confidence score and giving notice of public and commercial use of the technology.
