Cisco CTO discusses what causes IoT projects to fail

Seventy-five percent of internet of things projects are failing because companies are designing for one particular problem or system, said Cisco Chief Technology Officer Kevin Bloch. "Eventually, customers find themselves with multiple silos from multiple vendors that don't interoperate, are not cybersecure, use different protocols, and generate more complexity at greater cost," he said.
