Rapeseed feed gain attributed to appeal of "GM-free" label

Germany is using more rapeseed meal in animal feeds and less soybean meal, while the amount of oilseed meal used overall has dropped. The trend is attributed both the rapeseed meal's nutritional value and the desire of producers to label dairy products "GM free," barring the use of genetically modified soy meal from the US and Brazil.
