The results of a small, uncontrolled study presented at a meeting of the Heart Failure Society of America showed improved results from cardiopulmonary exercise testing in test participants with obesity and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction who consumed an average 23.6 grams of extra virgin olive oil. Peak VO2 improved around 6% compared with predicted levels with a 40-gram increase of EVOO, according to a statistical model.
