Ride-hailing company Uber has launched a rewards program for frequent riders beginning in Atlanta; Denver; Miami; New York; Philadelphia; San Diego; Tampa, Fla., Washington, D.C., and parts of New Jersey. New Hampshire Department of Transportation Commissioner Victoria Sheehan says Massachusetts' conversion to open-road tolling has been successful, and that the agency wants to move toward open-road tolling across New Hampshire. The plazas at Dover and Rochester on the Spaulding Turnpike will be converted in 2021.

Commissioners in Florida's Escambia County are considering a plan to add a second SunPass-only lane at the Pensacola Beach entrance. Currently, around 60% of drivers accessing the beach in the off-season use a SunPass, but a majority of drivers in the summer do not have a transponder, said David Forte, the county's public works manager.

A new West Virginia law enforcement unit will perform safety inspections and issue citations for commercial vehicles on the West Virginia Turnpike. Accidents with commercial vehicles have increased in recent years, and an officer is expected to begin patrols in the next few weeks.
