Neutrotrack, a startup that detects, manages and treats Alzheimer's, raised $21 million in its most recent funding round. The round was led by Khosla Ventures.
Pryon, a startup that develops artificial intelligence-based tools that help businesses operate more efficiently, raised $20 million in its most recent funding round. The company said it will use the money to further develop its core product, prospect for Fortune 500 clients and form strategic partnerships.
Adjust, a Berlin-based startup focused on mobile advertising fraud prevention and audience measurement, raised $227 million during its most recent funding round. The new money will be used to further the development of its platform and expand into new markets.
Novaquark, a French startup developing a multiplayer fan-created video game called Dual Universe, raised $11.2 million in its most recent funding round. The company plans to add staff at its Montreal studio.
Yanolja, a South Korean startup that gave so-called love hotels a friendly, commercial image, raised $180 million in a funding round that included investments from Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and Booking Holdings. The transaction gave Yanolja a valuation of more than $1 billion.
Capgemini, the London-based global consulting firm, said it has earmarked $102 million to invest through its first venture capital fund. The fund will invest in early-stage technology startups and will have the flexibility to retain its investment until the company goes public.
Four startups, Audio Analytic, Carbon Lighthouse, Copperleaf and GoCardless, and two venture capital funds, IQ Capital Fund III and JVP VIII, have received investments from National Grid Partners, the venture capital arm of National Grid. NGP has recently opened an office in San Francisco, Calif.
